Nurturing our ability to pay attention to our lives and find the sacred in the ordinary deepens our relationship with God and is the essence of prayer. An art journal can be a wonderful place to be with and “tell about” what matters most to us. In this retreat we will explore a practice of paying attention, playing with words and images and transforming them into expressive art journal pages, each unique to the hand that makes them. No prior experience with art or writing is required, only an open heart and some simple supplies.

I will be co-facilitating this retreat with Donna Kehoe, offered through Sophia Spirituality Center at Mount Saint Scholastica.
