Imagination plays an important role in any spiritual path. Any encounter with the Sacred Other involves moving into the unknown, and imagination is the human faculty that helps us to do so. This workshop will explore images and how they function, including images of God or the sacred. We will consider different sources of images, and how to uncover and play with images that are operating in ourselves and our directees.

· Entering metaphor and engaging the imagination

· Embodied ways to encounter the sacred

· Witnessing as a sacred response to images

· Engaging images of God in a spiritual direction session
